Job Overview

As a PHP WordPress Developer, you'll be integral in crafting dynamic and engaging websites using the WordPress platform. Your expertise will encompass both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust functionality.

Responsibilities

• Plugin Development: Write code for WordPress plugins, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Documentation: Craft readme.txt files and submit plugins to the WordPress Plugin Directory.
• Quality Assurance: Test plugins for quality, security, and compatibility.
• WordPress Theme Development: Design and develop custom themes, ensuring responsiveness and integration with WordPress websites.
• Front-End Development: Implement responsive designs for optimal user experiences.
• Theme Customization: Customize and integrate themes to meet specific requirements.
• Maintenance and Collaboration: Provide ongoing support, collaborate with clients, designers, and developers, and stay updated with industry trends.

Additional Responsibilities

• Designing and developing website architecture, including building new features and functionalities.

• Handling the backend of the website, including database and server integration.
• Ensuring high performance and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Maintaining well-documented and reusable code.
• Developing and converting designs into themes.
• Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Creating multipurpose websites catering to various industries and user needs.
• Developing visually appealing themes and layouts for desktop and mobile devices.
• Utilizing technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including ES6), Bootstrap, and front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
• Designing website architecture, including database integration.
• Optimizing website performance and troubleshooting errors.
• Utilizing Wp-CLI commands for efficient management.
• Understanding WordPress core architecture and template hierarchy and creating custom themes from scratch or modifying existing ones.
• Developing Gutenberg blocks for content creation and working with popular page builders like Elementor, Beaver Builder, or Divi.
• Integrating WooCommerce and other e-commerce extensions.
• Proficiency in MySQL database usage and optimization, knowledge of REST API and GraphQL for data exchange, familiarity with headless CMS and full site editing, semantic HTML5 coding, and adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO best practices.
• Using design software such as Adobe Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, AEM, or Figma to convert designs into functional themes while maintaining visual fidelity.
• Highlight any relevant professional certifications (e.g., WordPress Certified Developer).
