Job summary

EPS Consultants Pte Ltd in India seeks a PHP backend developer to implement new features, refactor code, and develop integrations with external services. The role requires strong knowledge of strict typing, OOP, PSR standards, and automated testing.

Job description

Essential skills

• Understanding of strict typing, OOP patterns, and modern language features
• Practical experience with PSR-15 middleware, PSR-7 HTTP messages and Dependency Injection
• Awareness of web application security concerns
• Debugging code using Xdebug
• Mastery of dependency injection, decoupling techniques, and clean code principles
• Proficiency in writing automated tests using PHPUnit and its native mocking framework
• Raw SQL writing skills
• Experience with templating system and separating view logic from PHP backend processes (preferably Smarty)
• Understanding of CSS, JS and HTML
• Git – commit, merge, rebase, deal with conflicts
• Docker – start and stop

Desirable skills

• Experience with Mezzio and Laminas ecosystem
• Refactoring existing code for better readability and simplicity
