Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, vet, and negotiate various legal documents, including agreements, contracts, MoUs, NDAs, affidavits, declarations, and undertakings.
  • Prepare and respond to legal notices, demand notices, and statutory communications.
  • Review legal clauses in vendor, consultant, employment, and service agreements.
  • Ensure all legal documents comply with applicable laws and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with external advocates, legal consultants, and law firms for litigation.
  • Assist in handling civil, criminal, labour, consumer, arbitration, and commercial matters.
  • Maintain records of ongoing litigation, court cases, notices, and legal documentation; track hearing dates and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Central and State laws; interpret provisions and minimize risks.
  • Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and service agreements; monitor renewals.
  • Provide legal support to HR, Finance, Procurement, Administration, and Operations; advise on legal implications of business decisions.
  • Maintain confidential legal records and document management systems; prepare MIS reports.

Education

LL.B. (Bachelor's Degree in Law)
Bar Council enrollment preferred
LL.M. added advantage

Legal Compliance

  • Support departments in interpreting legal provisions and minimizing legal risks.
  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and legal opinions.
  • Monitor amendments in laws and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders.
Contract Management
  • Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and service agreements.
  • Identify legal risks in contracts and recommend appropriate modifications.
  • Maintain a repository of executed agreements and monitor contract renewals.
Advisory Support
  • Provide legal support to HR, Finance, Procurement, Administration, and Operations.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal implications of business decisions.
  • Assist in policy drafting and review from a legal perspective.
Documentation & Record Management
  • Maintain confidential legal records and document management systems.
  • Ensure proper filing and retrieval of legal documents.
  • Prepare MIS reports related to legal matters for management review.

Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
  • Enrollment with the Bar Council will be preferred.
