Job summary

Infosys Finacle is seeking a Performance Engineering expert to define roadmaps, set NFRs, and plan capacity aligned with delivery frameworks. You will act as a Performance SME in architecture reviews, release go/no-go decisions, and production RCAs, driving KPIs, SLIs/SLOs, and golden signals for critical services.

You will design and execute load, stress, and endurance tests with Apache JMeter, build reusable CI/CD integrated test frameworks, and optimize Java/Spring Boot microservices running

Qualifications

• Experience in performance engineering and NFR definition.
• Ability to drive capacity planning and KPIs.
• Hands-on with load/stress/endurance testing.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
• Expertise in Java/Spring microservices and JVM tuning.

Responsibilities

• Define performance engineering roadmap, NFRs, and capacity planning aligned with Infosys delivery frameworks.
• Act as Performance SME during architecture reviews, release go/no-go decisions, and production RCA.
• Drive performance KPIs, SLIs/SLOs, and golden signals for critical services.
• Design and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and soak tests using Apache JMeter.
• Develop reusable test frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).
• Implement parameterization, correlation, custom samplers, and distributed load generation.
• Hands-on tuning for Java/Spring Boot microservices deployed on Kubernetes/Docker.
• Expertise in JVM internals (GC algorithms, heap, thread scheduling) and tools like JFR, JMC, VisualVM.
• Analyze thread contention, GC pauses, memory leaks, CPU hotspots; recommend code-level optimizations.
• Optimize Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly for thread pools, connection pools, async processing.
• Govern RESTful API performance, OpenAPI contracts, and Apigee API Gateway policies for scalability and security.
• Tune Oracle/PostgreSQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, and connection pooling.
• Correlate DB metrics with application and infrastructure telemetry.
• Drive Kubernetes resource sizing, pod scheduling, and JVM tuning inside containers
• Debug using kubectl, logs, metrics; optimize deployments for VMware-based environments
