Infosys in Bengaluru (Bangalore) is seeking an experienced thermal design engineer to perform the thermal layout and design of power plant components with a focus on HRSG. You will execute thermodynamics and process calculations, size pumps, valves, and pipes based on heat balance, and translate that data into usable design tools.
You will apply ASME, EN, and IBR standards, collaborating across teams to optimize overall plant performance. Mentoring teammates is encouraged.
Familiarity with Combined Cycle Power Plants, HRSG, and Boiler systems. Strong understanding of heat balance, component sizing, and performance analysis.
Perform thermal layout and design of power plant components with a focus on HRSG. Execute thermodynamics and process calculations, establish flow charts, and size components (pumps, valves, pipes, tubes) based on heat balance. Interpret and translate heat balance data into design tools. Apply ASME, EN, and IBR standards for compliance. Collaborate across teams to integrate designs and contribute to overall plant performance. Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to team members.
Tools & Software: Engineering design tools for thermal and process calculations. 2D/3D CAD platforms (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Locations: Bangalore, Mysore, Noida.
