We are seeking a Performance Architect – QA to join our R&D team as a senior individual contributor. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on performance engineering expert with experience in core products, platforms, or large‑scale enterprise software.
You will shape performance strategy and partner with Product Engineering, Architecture, SRE, DevOps, and R&D teams to deliver highly scalable, reliable, and low‑latency products. This role involves technical ownership and influence, with no people‑management responsibilities.
Required experience and qualifications -
- 15+ years in QA, performance engineering, software engineering, automation, and performance architecture.
- Mandatory experience in a Core Product, Core Engineering, or R&D organization.
- Proven hands‑on experience with commercial products, enterprise platforms, SaaS, or distributed systems.
- Expertise in performance architecture, scalability, resilience, and distributed systems.
- Experience in leading chaos and resilience engineering initiatives, including fault injection, dependency failures, traffic surges, failover validation, and self‑healing scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, event‑driven architectures, cloud‑native patterns, and multi‑tenant platforms.
- Docker, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or related technologies.
- Building performance simulators, workload generators, service virtualization, or fault‑injection tools.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and preferably AKS, including autoscaling and high availability.
- Experience with K6, JMeter, Gatling, or custom performance frameworks.
- Programming experience in Java, Python, C#, Go, or equivalent.
- Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of observability, APM, distributed tracing, logging, and database performance tuning.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
