Emergent is seeking a Performance Ad Scriptwriter to craft 30 to 60 second video ad scripts for US audiences. You will develop complete scripts with character, setting, dialogue, and shot direction, working with AI video tools and external agencies.
A strong portfolio and the ability to test multiple angles across formats are essential. You will write end-to-end copy, adapt to US slang and audience psychology, and maintain high output to drive engagement and conversions in a fast-moving startup
Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications.
Since our public launch, we’ve crossed $130M in Annualised Revenue and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries, who have built 12M+ applications on Emergent. We’re backed by Creaegis, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Lightspeed, Together, Y Combinator, Google, Claypond and Sentinel Global.
We’re solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.
We’re hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.
We’re looking for Performance Ad Scriptwriters to write the 30 to 60 second video ads that drive Emergent’s paid growth in the US. Think of each script as a short screenplay. It should be complete enough that a video team, whether that’s an AI production pipeline or a human agency, can shoot it straight from the page with no back and forth.
Every script you write sets out the character, the setting, the dialogue, the visual beats, and the hook, all built to stop the scroll and make people act. You’ll write for American audiences, so you need to understand how they talk, what they care about, and what makes them click.
Let’s build the future of software together.
