About the Role

As a People Partner for South India, you will support employees and leaders across Maersk’s Contract Logistics and TbM operations. You’ll work closely with teams on the ground, ensuring a great employee experience, smooth HR processes, and a high level of compliance and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and be the go-to HR contact for leaders and employees across the South cluster.
• Guide teams through HR policies, employee relations, performance, and development conversations.
• Run key HR cycles: performance reviews, compensation, succession planning, talent development.
• Support rollout of new HR systems and processes (Workday & ServiceNow).
• Handle day-to-day HR queries and resolve employee relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and site-level statutory requirements.
• Support talent and workforce planning, work with TPL vendors for workforce availability, support hiring, onboarding, training, and engagement activities.
• Encourage internal mobility and growth opportunities for employees.
• Collaborate across HR: partner with HRBPs, People Advisory, Centres of Excellence, Global Mobility teams, regional People Partnering Operations (PPO) to solve complex cases.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of HR generalist experience.
• Strong understanding of employee relations, labour laws, performance and talent processes, vendor management.
• Experience working with large or multinational organizations.
• Ability to coach leaders, handle change, and work independently.
• Positive, energetic, “let’s find a solution” mindset.
• Strong communication skills in English and local language.
• Experience in unionized environments is a bonus.
