Job summary

JAC Recruitment in India seeks a skilled PFMEA & Process Quality professional to manage injection moulding operations, lead the moulding team, and ensure adherence to AIAG-VDA FMEA methodology and IATF 16949 requirements.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to identify process risks, develop PFMEA documentation, and drive corrective actions across the production line. Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• PFMEA preparation and risk assessment activities.
• Knowledge of AIAG-VDA FMEA Methodology, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
• Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and CSR.
• Hands-on RCA, CAPA and 8D problem-solving experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage injection moulding production activities and lead the moulding team to achieve production, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Prepare PFMEA documentation in line with AIAG-VDA FMEA methodology and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, tooling, maintenance, and NPD teams to identify process risks and implement preventive actions.
• Develop and update PFMEA-related process docs including process flow diagrams, control plans and work instructions.
• Analyse production issues, defects, rejection trends, customer complaints, and downtime to drive corrective actions.
• Support APQP, PPAP and audits with PFMEA documentation and risk assessments.
• Maintain links between PFMEA, RCA, CAPA and 8D activities.
• Conduct periodic PFMEA reviews due to changes in tooling, materials or processes.
• Train staff on PFMEA methodology, process discipline and risk-based thinking.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and automotive quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage injection moulding production activities and lead the moulding team to achieve production, quality, and efficiency targets




• Prepare and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis documentation in accordance with AIAG-VDA FMEA methodology and IATF 16949 requirements




• Collaborate with production, quality, tooling, maintenance, and New Product Development teams to identify process risks and implement preventive actions




• Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams, control plans, work instructions, and related process documentation in alignment with PFMEA requirements




• Analyse production issues, including defects, rejection trends, customer complaints, and downtime, to drive corrective and preventive actions




• Support Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, customer audits, and internal audits by providing PFMEA documentation and risk assessment reports




• Maintain effective links between PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action, and 8D problem-solving activities




• Conduct periodic PFMEA reviews and updates based on engineering changes, new moulds, materials, customer requirements, and process modifications




• Train production personnel and supervisors on PFMEA methodology, process discipline, and risk-based thinking




• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, automotive quality standards, and organisational procedures

Requirements

• Technical skills:

• Good understanding of AIAG-VDA FMEA Methodology, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC


• Knowledge of automotive quality systems including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR)


• Problem-solving skills: Hands-on experience with 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, DMAIC Methodology, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
  
  
  • Experience using FMEA software and tools such as APIS IQ-FMEA, IQ-RM, or Excel-based FMEA templates
