Job Description Purpose of the role

To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research.

Accountabilities

Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.

Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.

Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.

Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.

Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.

Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.

PDS Clearing Management Analyst

Join us as an “PDS Clearing Management Analyst.” PDS is primarily managed from London, New York, and Singapore, with team members in various other strategic locations across the globe to ensure that a truly global and seamless clearing offering can be delivered to clients.

The global team employ a robust follow the sun model providing client coverage 24 hours a day. To be a successful “PDS Clearing Management Analyst ” PDS has a clear focus on developing and supporting systems in house for many of the core downstream clearing and reporting solutions. This includes clearing, middle office, allocation and average pricing technology, client reporting, exercise/assignment solutions, cash and treasury solutions. A select number of vendor based systems are used by PDS and, for each of them, key IT experts are employed in house for implementation, upgrades and ongoing support of these applications.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success role candidate is responsible for various governance and reporting responsibilities around sending designatory notices to our FXPB clients. The team creates and manages dashboard summarizing our daily revenue acruals in OTC and FXPB business. They also work on other reporting obligations in close coordination with Finance and regional clearing business teams. The team also covers the intermediation activity for restricted currencies providing critical FX execution support to our global clients.

Basic/ Essential Qualifications
  • Execute restricted FX via an onshore broker for clients as part of their funding requirement (margin calls or withdrawals) on their futures position.
  • Calculate and report the daily / monthly revenue for FXPB and OTC business
  • Prepare Statistics and Reports to aid PDS Business with enhanced analysis to support business decision making like creating a bi-weekly report that depicts sales performance and the budget gap, weekly pack that depicts the volume and P&L & highlights for the week, and other client related metrics for the PDS products.
  • Support the business in processing the Economic Terms of Trades into Trade Capture Systems inclusive of subsequent Risk Modifying Activities on that trade across asset classes i.e. Rates, FXPB, Futures, CDS.
  • Trade Capture assistance includes Amendments, Cancellations, Lifecycle Events, Credit Events, Corporate Actions
  • Communicate effectively for facilitating medium to large scale projects with different groups including trading desks, technology, Middle Offices, and global change management teams across multiple business lines in New York, London and Asia.
  • Prepare detailed reports based on the analysis and present to management.
  • Stakeholder management and leadership - describe levels of stakeholders the individual will be interacting with and expectations.
  • Discuss nature/ breadth/ interpersonal leadership qualities required Decision making and problem solving.
  • Extent and level to which the job requires evaluative judgement and analytical skills.
  • Role requires timing flexibility as there is a need to cover Asia starting at 5am India time.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have
  • Graduate or MBA from top tier Engineering/Business school.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of issues and breaches.
  • Should be comfortable communicating directly with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities and Comprehensive knowledge on Derivative, Rates and FX products and associated risks.
  • Well organised with good time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly in a highly pressurised environment.
