Job summary

Chiprime Semiconductor in Bengaluru is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer with hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB layout. You will design layouts, place components, route nets, and ensure manufacturability while coordinating with fabricators.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of PCB layout experience, proficiency in Altium or OrCAD, and a good understanding of IPC standards, EMI/EMC considerations, and BOM creation for PCB assemblies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in EEE/ECE/E&I is required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCB layout experience.
• Experience in schematic capture, layout, and review.
• Experience with manufacturing data packs (Gerber, fabrication/assembly drawings).
• Familiarity with IPC standards and EMI/EMC for PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Create PCB layouts and plan circuit designs.
• Collaborate with fabricator during manufacturing activities.
• Create/maintain part libraries from datasheets.
• Prepare manufacturing data packs (Gerber, drawings).
• Set up design reviews and perform DRC.

Job Summary

PCB Layout Engineer

Requirements

• Should have completed Diploma/B.E in EEE/ECE/E&I
• Must have minimum of 2 years experience in PCB layout design.
• Responsible for making PCB layout and planning of circuit design
• Closely involving with the fabricator in manufacturing activities.
• Should be able to perform PCB layout design schematic design and review, part library creation, component placement, routing and manufacturing data.
• Should be able to create, modify and maintain part libraries based on component data sheets and drawings.
• Should be able to create manufacturing data packs including Gerber, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and other design files for PCB fabrication and assembly.
• Able to set up and maintenance of review protocols and design rule checks (DRC)
• Should have expertise of using Altium/Orcad (any other relevant tools) for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Knowledge with analogue, digital and power PCB design.
• Having familiarity with IPC standards with design and inspection and EMI / EMC requirements for best design practices.
• Added advantage if have knowledge on BOM creation specific to PCBs.
