Job Title :- Payroll Team Lead

Location : Gurugram India

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members to foster growth and accountability.
  • Process and verify timesheets and self-bill reports with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Create and maintain employee master records in the payroll software, ensuring data integrity.
  • Generate detailed error reports and collaborate with consultants to resolve timesheet discrepancies.
  • Compile and maintain periodic payroll reports for audits and management review.
  • Monitor and manage employee advances, deductions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from internal staff and provide clarification on nurse pay matters.
  • Ensure all payroll activities comply with company policies and UK legislation.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives and resolve payroll-related issues.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with UK payroll.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Highly organized with a strong process-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of total experience in payroll management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality service to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
