Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) in India is seeking a Pas-Tax Payroll-Staff to deliver end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients in a high-volume setting. You will maintain payroll information, enter and update data, and generate detailed payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

The role works within EY's global payroll team, supporting year-end activities and resolving discrepancies while upholding data security and compliance standards.

• Previous payroll experience in high volume, full function payroll.

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering data.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in components, e.g. exemptions, insurance, savings deductions, and transfers.
• Prepares/extract payroll reports by summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.
• Determines payroll liabilities by calculating taxes and other statutory payments.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies/queries by collecting and analysing information.
• Analyse payroll information to answer questions and requests.
• Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting changes.
• Maintains confidentiality of payroll data.

Staff - This role is responsible for delivering payroll processing service and supporting operational aspects of payroll.

The opportunity Opportunity to work in a multi country Corporate and global payroll team.

Your key responsibilities

• Responsible for the end to end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering/uploading data.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in components, e.g. but not limited exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Prepares/extract payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
• Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other statutory payments as required.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies/queries by collecting and analysing information.
• Analyse payroll information so as to answer questions and requests.
• Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Previous payroll experience in high volume, full function payroll
• Data Entry Skills
• General Math Skills
• Strong communications skills, written and verbal
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, thoroughness
• Ideally, you’ll also have Payroll related diploma/certificate will be advantageous, but not necessary
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines
• Experience using large ERP system will be advantageous but not essential
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
