Job summary

EY India is hiring for a Staff - Payroll role within the PAS - Tax Payroll team. The incumbent will deliver end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients, including year-end, while safeguarding data confidentiality.

You will maintain payroll records, prepare reports, analyse payroll data, and resolve discrepancies. The role offers global delivery exposure and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, inclusive EY environment.

Qualifications

• Prior payroll experience in high-volume payroll.
• Data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end.
• Maintain payroll data by collecting and entering data.
• Update payroll records with changes to exemptions, insurance, deductions, transfers.
• Prepare and extract payroll reports: earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, non-taxables.
• Calculate payroll liabilities: federal/state taxes and other payments.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
• Analyse payroll information to answer questions and requests.
• Maintain payroll operations by following policies and reporting changes.
• Safeguard confidentiality of payroll information.
• Contribute to team efforts; perform ad hoc reporting as needed.

Staff - This role is responsible for delivering payroll processing service and supporting operational aspects of payroll The opportunity Opportunity to work in a multi country Corporate and global payroll team

Your key responsibilities

• Responsible for the end to end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering/uploading data.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in components, e.g. but not limited exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Prepares/extract payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
• Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other statutory payments as required.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies/queries by collecting and analysing information.
• Analyse payroll information so as to answer questions and requests.
• Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Previous payroll experience in high volume, full function payroll Data Entry Skills General Math Skills Strong communications skills, written and verbal A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, thoroughness Ideally, you’ll also have Payroll related diploma/certificate will be advantageous, but not necessary Multi-tasking and organizational skills Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines Experience using large ERP system will be advantageous but not essential Intermediate to advanced excel skills
