Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) in India is hiring Staff to deliver payroll processing services and support the operational aspects of payroll for multiple clients within a global team.

You will collect data, enter or upload it, maintain payroll records, prepare earnings and tax reports, resolve discrepancies, and provide ad hoc reporting while upholding strict confidentiality and data security.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end
• Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering/uploading data
• Update payroll records by entering changes in components (exemptions, insurance, deductions, transfers)
• Prepare/extract payroll reports with earnings, taxes, deductions, leave and non-taxable wages
• Determine payroll liabilities by calculating taxes and other statutory payments
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Analyze payroll information to answer questions and requests
• Maintain payroll operations by following policies and ensuring confidentiality
• Contribute to team effort with ad hoc reporting

The opportunity

Opportunity to work in a multi country Corporate and global payroll team

Your key responsibilities

• Responsible for the end to end payroll processing for multiple clients including year-end.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering/uploading data.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in components, e.g. but not limited exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Prepares/extract payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
• Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other statutory payments as required.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies/queries by collecting and analysing information.
• Analyse payroll information so as to answer questions and requests.
• Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ad hoc reporting

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Previous payroll experience in high volume, full function payroll

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Payroll related diploma/certificate will be advantageous, but not necessary
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines
• Experience using large ERP system will be advantageous but not essential
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
