Job summary

Alter Domus seeks an experienced payments professional to join the Payments team in Hyderabad. You will process client, investor and supplier payments in multiple currencies, coordinate with agent banks, and maintain controls within a risk-aware framework.

The role involves invoicing accuracy and process improvements. Experience in payments with supervisory exposure is preferred; advanced MS Office skills will be advantageous as the team drives automation initiatives and service delivery

Qualifications

• 5–8 years’ experience in payments.
• Supervisory and/or team management experience is beneficial.
• Project or change management experience, with interest in automation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and release client, investor and supplier payments in multiple currencies.

Your Responsibilities

As a member of the Payments team, you will have the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and provide accurate advice and information to both internal and external sources in a timely and professional manner. You will be accountable for the efficient processing of money transfers, including invoicing, capital, fees and investment funding, and the daily reconciliation of those movements. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• The preparation, checking and release of client, investor and supplier payments in multiple currencies using various payment methods.
• Liaising with agent banks through dedicated relationship managers ensuring all requests are processed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring all operational activities are completed with SLAs within a robust control environment managing any risks.
• Accurately recording all time spent dealing with client matters to ensure clients are correctly invoiced.
• Reviewing operational processes and controls, proactively identifying and highlighting any risks or weaknesses and driving improvements as appropriate.
• Pro-actively taking on additional responsibilities and administrative tasks as required by your managers or clients, including project work from initial scoping to delivery into the team.
• Support management by monitoring service delivery and performance of the team, identifying knowledge gaps or changes that will improve client satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
• Support periodic and ad-hoc reporting for management and stakeholders.
• Monitoring the team email mailboxes and assisting to resolve queries.

YOUR PROFILE

What We’ll Look For On Your CV

• Degree level educated in relevant areas such Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• 5-8 years’ experience in payments would be preferred.
• Supervisory and/or team management experience would be beneficial.
• Project or change management experience, and in particular, an interest in automation activities would be desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of MS office package would be considered an advantage.
