Job summary

Symbiosis Management Consultants seeks a skilled Payment Engineer to design and manage scalable, secure payment systems using NoSQL and SQL databases.

You will implement end-to-end payment flows, integrate with major gateways, and build real-time, high-throughput data pipelines with Kafka while maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases
• Strong proficiency in Java development
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience building streaming data architectures with Kafka
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices
• Knowledge of data security, PCI-DSS, and regulatory considerations

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable payment processing systems.
• Implement end-to-end payment flows including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, and reversals.
• Integrate with payment gateways and networks (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Adyen, UPI).
• Build real-time transaction systems with high throughput and low latency.
• Develop database architectures optimized for high-volume transactions.
• Ensure data integrity across distributed systems.
• Implement Kafka-based event-driven processing and streaming pipelines.
• Handle retries, idempotency, and reconciliation.
• Optimize query performance and data partitioning.
• Maintain PCI-DSS and regulatory compliance.

databases, Java, REST APIs, Kafka, and streaming platforms to design and manage scalable,

secure, and high-performance payment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable payment processing systems.
• Implement and manage end-to-end payment flows including authorization, capture, settlement,

refunds, and reversals.

• Integrate with payment gateways and networks (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Adyen, UPI).
• Build real-time transaction systems ensuring high throughput and low latency.
• Develop database architectures (SQL & NoSQL) optimized for high-volume transactions.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across distributed systems.
• Implement Kafka-based event-driven processing and streaming pipelines.
• Handle failure scenarios, retries, idempotency, and reconciliation.
• Optimize query performance and data partitioning.
• Maintain PCI-DSS and regulatory compliance.
