Job summary

iServeU is a modern banking infrastructure provider with a global footprint and a cloud-native, microservices platform. We are building a Payment Hub that orchestrates merchants, providers and gateways with robust observability and secure operations.

As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, deploy, operate and improve the platform alongside our backend and Rust engineers, owning end-to-end delivery from API through reconciliation across multiple payment flows.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of software and platform engineering experience.
• Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience running production workloads.
• Payment gateways, acquirers, orchestration
• Transaction state and payment failure handling
• Authorization / capture, refunds / reversals
• Webhooks and reconciliation
• PCI-DSS concepts and payment security
• Fintech or banking production exposure
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals; Docker and CI/CD experience
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices, including retries and idempotency

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the Payment Hub platform in Rust/Go/Python.
• Support provider connectors and monitoring with automated failover.
• Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes across cloud providers.
• Enable end-to-end observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Implement safe deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure secure service-to-service communication and IAM controls.

About the Role

Our Payment Hub sits between merchantsand multiple payment providers. We want Platform Engineers who go beyondtraditional infrastructure work and understand the whole system: applicationarchitecture, payment flows, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, networking,observability and production operations. You will design, build, deploy,operate and improve the platform alongside our backend and Rust engineers, withend-to-end ownership.

What You Will Own

Platform for paymentservices: build the runtime, tooling and guardrailsPayment Hub services depend on, in Rust / Go or Python.

Gateway and acquireroperations: support provider connectors, providerhealth monitoring, automated failover and handling of provider-specificfailures, timeouts and response codes.

Kubernetes and cloud: deploy and operate services with Docker and Helm; manage ingress,networking, autoscaling, secrets, configuration, storage and resource limits onGCP / AWS / Azure.

Observability: end-to-end visibility with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana,Jaeger and ELK / OpenSearch so any transaction can be traced.

Reliability engineering: high availability, health checks, failure detection, retry andtimeout policy, capacity planning and incident response.

CI/CD and developerplatform: pipelines, safe deployment strategies(canary / blue-green), automated rollback and internal tooling that makePayment Hub engineers faster.

Security: TLS and mTLS, HMAC, encryption, IAM, secrets management, APIauthentication and secure service-to-service communication.

Front-End Technology: Have experiencebuilding scalable and efficient Front end .( Payment eco-systems preferred).

Networking Depth

• Troubleshoot HTTP/HTTPS,TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, load balancing, NAT, VPC, firewalls, service discovery,ingress/egress and Kubernetes networking.
• Istio, Envoy or other service-mesh experience isa strong advantage.
