Job summary

La Renon Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Executive - Patent & IPR to support its patent domain within the Intellectual Property Rights department. You will conduct patent searches, prepare IP reports, maintain the patent portfolio and coordinate with foreign patent attorneys.

Qualifications

  • M. Pharm or M.Sc in Chemistry with PGDIPR or Registered Indian Patent Agent.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in Patent Search/Analytics or IP domain.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Prior Art Searches across patent and non-patent literature.
  • Perform Patentability Searches and prepare comprehensive search reports.
  • Prepare Patent Landscape Reports covering technologies, competitors and trends.
  • Conduct Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) Searches and Analysis.
  • Support Patent Infringement Analysis, including assessment of claims.
  • Maintain and regularly update the organization's Patent Portfolio.
  • Track patent annuities, renewal deadlines and timelines.
  • Coordinate with foreign patent attorneys/agents for prosecution, filings and renewals.
  • Maintain IP documentation, records and trackers.
  • Coordinate IP-related invoices, payments and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare status reports and trackers for ongoing patent matters.

Department: Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical personnel to support our Intellectual Property Rights activities, specifically in the Patent domain. The candidate will be responsible for conducting patent research and analysis, preparing IP reports, maintaining the patent portfolio, and coordinating with internal teams and external/foreign patent attorneys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Prior Art Searches across patent and non-patent literature.
  • Perform Patentability Searches and prepare comprehensive search reports.
  • Prepare Patent Landscape Reports covering relevant technologies, competitors, and patent trends.
  • Conduct Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) Searches and Analysis.
  • Support Patent Infringement Analysis, including assessment of patent claims.
  • Assist in maintaining and regularly updating the organization's Patent Portfolio.
  • Track Patent Annuities, renewal deadlines, and related statutory timelines.
  • Coordinate with foreign patent attorneys/agents for Patent prosecution, filings, renewals, and other IP-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date IP documentation, records and trackers.
  • Coordinate and maintain IP-related invoices, payments, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare reports, trackers, and status updates related to ongoing patent matters.
  • Support other IPR-related activities and projects as assigned.
Educational Qualification
  • Qualification: M. Pharm / M.Sc. Chemistry + PGDIPR / Registered Indian Patent Agent
Experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience in Patent Search, Patent Analytics, Intellectual Property Rights, or a related domain.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Patent Laws and Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Knowledge of Patentability, Prior Art, FTO, Patent Landscape, and Infringement Analysis.
  • Ability to search and analyze Patent and Non-Patent Literature.
  • Good analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, including patent annuity and renewal timelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Hands-on experience with patent search/analytics tools such as Orbit Intelligence, SciFinder, or similar databases.
