• Organize BU BioPharma IP Team databases and files; track case law updates and changes in various countries.
• Assist IP Team in preparing PowerPoint slides for presentations for the business.

QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

• 8 years experience in IP
• At least 3 years experience working in IP in the biosimilars industry
• Licensed as a patent attorney under Indian Law
• BSc in the life sciences field

OBJECTIVE OF THE FUNCTION:

SUPPORT THE BU BIOPHARMA IP TEAM BY ASSESSING AND MONITORING PATENT LANDSCAPES FOR BIOSIMILARS.

MAIN TASKS:

• Monitoring and surveillance of patent landscapes for approx. 5 pipeline biosimilars. Use PatSnap software.
• Freedom to operate (FTO) searches and reports for new pipeline biosimilar candidates.
• Prior art searches and patent invalidity assessments.

SECONDARY TASKS:

• Due diligence projects: work with BioPharma IP patent attorneys and scientists to assess FTO of third-party biologics manufacturing process.

OTHER TASKS:

• Organize BU BioPharma IP Team databases, files and folders for storing and tracking case law updates and legislative change in various countries.
• Assist IP Team in preparing PowerPoint slides for presentations for the business
