Applied Materials, Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a highly experienced Purchasing account Team Buyer to join our global procurement group. This role focuses on supplier management, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration with planning and engineering to meet production schedules.

The ideal candidate has more than 6 years of purchasing experience, SAP MM expertise, strong English communication, and a proven track record in negotiation and problem solving. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Formación

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or relevant field required.
• Experience: >6 years in Purchasing.
• SAP MM expertise is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Office systems, especially Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for Supplier's operational management (Forecast & POs, FGIs, ECOs, obsolete, MRP actions, transitions, Repairs, service agreements, OTD).
• Coordinates/purchases activities with planning and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Leads supplier quality activities in collaboration with manufacturing and engineering departments.
• Expedite escalations to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Practice management without authority.
• Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues.
• Provides input to management regarding suppliers and material status, action plans and long-term issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher education in relevant field preferred Engineering - Mandatory
• Experience: >6 Years in Purchasing - Mandatory
• SAP MM expertise - Mandatory
• Knowledge of working with OFFICE systems (especially Excel)
• Ability to work and deal with many information systems.
• Service- oriented, experienced with suppliers and internal customers
• Independent, team player with high negotiation skills
• High level English (writing, speaking and reading)
• Excellent presentation skills
• Program management experience
