Job summary

Applied Materials India in Bengaluru is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Account Team Buyer to join the purchasing group. You will manage supplier relationships, forecast needs, process POs, and ensure timely deliveries in a fast-paced semiconductor supply chain.

The role requires over 6 years in Purchasing, SAP MM expertise, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel and office systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• Experience: >6 years in Purchasing is mandatory.
• SAP MM expertise is mandatory.
• Strong Excel/Office systems knowledge.
• High English proficiency (writing, speaking, reading).
• Independent, team player with negotiation skills.
• Excellent presentation and program management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supplier's operational management (Forecast & POs, FGIs, ECOs, obsolete items, MRP actions, transitions, repairs, service agreements, OTD).
• Coordinate purchasing activities with planning and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Lead supplier quality activities with manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Expedite escalations to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Provide input to management on suppliers and material status; address long-term issues.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for Supplier's operational management (Forecast & POs, FGIs, ECOs, obsolete, MRP actions, transitions, Repairs, service agreements, OTD, etc)
• Coordinates/drives purchasing activities with planning and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Leads supplier's quality activities in collaboration with manufacturing and engineering departments
• Expedite escalations to ensures timely receipt of materials.
• Practice management without authority
• Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues
• Provides input to management regarding suppliers and material status, action plans and address long term issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher education in relevant field preferred Engineering - Mandatory
• Experience: >6 Years in Purchasing - Mandatory
• SAP MM expertise - Mandatory
• Knowledge of working with OFFICE systems (especially Excel)
• Ability to work and deal with many information systems.
• Service- oriented, experienced with suppliers and internal customers
• Independent, team player with high negotiation skills
• High level English (writing, speaking and reading)
• Excellent presentation skills
