Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Bangalore seeks a skilled Inventory Analyst to support the PSLD division, focusing on inventory optimization and customer service goals within Aftermarket Parts Distribution.

You will drive SAP-based projects, collaborate with IT, Finance, Purchasing and Warehouse teams, and perform ad hoc analyses to improve efficiency and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / math / science / commerce.
• 4 to 6 years’ relevant experience in SAP MM Module or Service Parts Planning.
• SAS or SQL coding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP-SPM materials implementation from advanced preparation to Go-live and stabilization phases.
• Identify gaps and document functional requirements within IM processes.
• Understand Business Process flows (PTP, OTC and TPOP).
• Provide business and system support to IM processes and collaborate with global teams to improve IM systems and processes.
• Learn analytical techniques for Data Analysis, Inventory Management system configuration/logic and statistics-oriented analysis.

As part of Inventory Management (IM) systems and process support, the position requires strong expertise in Materials Management, along with cross-functional collaboration with IT, Finance, Purchasing, and Warehouse Management teams.
