Job summary

Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is seeking a Partnerships Coordinator to manage formal coordination with partners, funders and contractors for CPI projects. The role is based in New Delhi, India, and reports to the Senior Manager, Austria, within the Operations division on a fixed-term two-year consultancy basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role has been created to manage the formal coordination with partners of CPI including, funders, contractors (communication, operational monitoring and reporting) for projects. While technical delivery on these projects, including drafting of proposals, budgets, and narrative and financial reports, may be led by the relevant delivering CPI office, all formal submissions to stakeholders (proposals, reports, invoices, amendments, and funder portal filings) are filed by the contracting entity.

The Partnership Coordinator acts as a critical link between CPI’s stakeholders and the project delivery teams .

This role sits within the Operations team and will work closely with program staff across CPI offices. The position is based in New Delhi, India, but is contracted, supervised, and managed by CPI Austria, reporting to the Austria Senior Manager.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PARTNERSHIP COORDINATION AND SUPPORT
  • Serve as the designated CPI contact for receipt of finalized proposals, reports, budgets, invoices, and contract/grant amendments prepared by the delivering office.
  • Review incoming materials for high-level contractual and compliance alignment prior to filing.
  • Execute formal submission of proposals, reports, and contract documentation to partners via designated channels.
  • Confirm and share submission receipts and confirmations with the delivering office for their records.
  • Maintain records of all formal submissions and filings made .
  • Serve as a coordination point for partner communication, updates, presentations, meetings, reports and other communications, working with colleagues across CPI offices to gather required information.
  • Maintain calendars, trackers, and other tools necessary to monitor funder requirements, deliverables, and reporting deadlines, including U.S. federal and European government reporting requirements where applicable.
RELATIONSHIP AND MEETING SUPPORT
  • Support CPI’s engagement with partners by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, documenting next steps, and tracking follow-up.
  • Facilitate communication between CPI offices contributing to information or work relevant to the projects.
ABOUT YOU: COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
  • Post Graduate degree in any Finance/Economics and at least 7 - 8 years post qualification experiencepreferably within an international not for profitenvironment.
  • You are able to interact with high-level external stakeholders independently
  • You have exceptional attention to detail, organization, time management, and prioritization skills, and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of the full project & contract lifecycle.
ABOUT YOU: PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • You are a self-starter, and requires minimal supervision
  • You have an independent, analytical mind with a track record of applying sound strategic judgment to complex issues
  • You are proficient user of the MS Office suite, in particular Excel, word and power point and other software and tools
  • You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English
  • You are willing to travel internationally/domestically
POSITION DETAILS

CPI is hiring for a fixed term two-year contract consultant based in New Delhi, India.

  • Performs services for and on behalf of the Austrian employing entity.
  • Acts as the designated focal point for CPI on projects delivered by other CPI offices, consistent with CPIs submission process. Will report to manager based out of Austria
  • May monitor or support work relevant to the obligations of CPI, including work being carried out by other CPI Offices.
  • May request, consolidate, track, and communicate information from other CPI office teams when required for partnership coordination.
