AVEVA in Bangalore is seeking an R&D Partner Technologist to lead design and development of our cloud platform on Microsoft Azure, applying AI-assisted development to scale engineering outcomes.

You will collaborate across teams, act as technical authority, and mentor others while delivering secure, resilient features in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires strong C#, .NET, Azure, Kubernetes skills and a passion for engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven design and coding skills with a track record of delivering quality results quickly.
• Experience developing with Microservices/SOA architectures.
• Familiarity with REST API design principles.
• Experience with multiple languages; C#/.NET preferred.
• Solid understanding of database design.
• CI/CD and infrastructure as code practices.
• Cloud development experience, especially Azure.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools.

Job Title: R&D Partner Technologist

Location: Bangalore

Employment Type: Full-time, regular, hybrid work arrangement

Job Purpose

To work as part of AVEVA's Core Services team to research, design and implement AVEVA's cloud platform using Microsoft Azure, while providing technical leadership within the team. The role extends beyond individual contribution to ensuring engineering excellence, and cross-team collaboration across the platform. We are looking for developers with a proven record of successfully implementing complex technical solutions, and leading others in doing so at scale, including the application of AI-assisted development.

Principal Accountabilities

• To design and develop cutting edge, secure and resilient features
• To act as the technical authority with the team, leading the resolution of complex technical challenges spanning services
• To work closely with leaders in other teams ensuring alignment and consistency of architecture and design
• To maintain and grow your knowledge
• To actively use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and quality

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Proven strong design and coding skills with a reputation for delivering quality results quickly
• Knowledge of Developing using Microservice/Service Oriented Architectures
• REST API Design Principles
• Experience developing in multiple languages. We primarily use C#

Hybrid working
