Job summary

McAfee in Bengaluru is seeking a PAM Engineer within the Identity Engineering Team. You will administer the Secrets Management Platform (Delinea Secret Server Cloud) and Privileged Access Management solutions, balancing security with productive access for users and systems.

You will collaborate with IAM/PAM/PIM engineers, manage Entra ID PIM and AWS components, implement CIS and NIST controls, and drive automation to reduce manual tasks.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience with Secrets Management, PIM and PAM in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of credential vaulting, privileged account lifecycle management, password rotation, and secure connection proxying concepts.
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira) for incident tracking, change management, and workflow coordination.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills, ensuring accurate processes and audit readiness.
• Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills for identity and access management challenges.
• Understand the operational impact of platform changes, upgrades, and configuration modifications to minimize risk.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a team of engineers delivering and supporting IAM, PAM, and PIM services across the enterprise.
• Administer Delinea Secret Server Cloud including migrations, API access management, user onboarding, and secrets governance.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID PIM and oversee AWS infrastructure components (EC2/EBS), drive cost-optimization, and support SaaS platforms.
• Implement and maintain CIS and NIST-aligned security controls and processes to strengthen security posture.
• Identify recurring tasks and implement automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Lead planning, prioritization and execution of the Identity Engineering roadmap.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support business applications and mission-critical identity services.

Role Summary

As a PAM Engineer with the Identity Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the administration of the Secrets Management Platform, including Delinea Secret Server Cloud and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) solutions. Our environment, combined with a supportive manager, enables you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the PAM program, which is critical for providing a modern, secure, and efficient way for users to access McAfee systems.

This is a Hybrid position based in Bangalore. You must be within a commutable distance from the location. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis; when not working onsite, you will work remotely from your home location.

About The Role

• Partner with a team of engineers responsible for delivering and supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) services across the enterprise.
• Administer Delinea Secret Server Cloud, including legacy platform migrations, API access management, user onboarding, and secrets governance to ensure secure credential management.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID PIM, oversee AWS infrastructure components such as EC2 and EBS, drive cost-optimization initiatives, and support various SaaS platforms.
• Implement and maintain industry-standard security best practices, aligning controls and processes with CIS Benchmarks and NIST frameworks to strengthen the organization's security posture.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring tasks and implementing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of the Identity Engineering roadmap to align with organizational goals and security objectives.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support business applications and strategic initiatives while taking ownership of mission-critical identity and access management services.

About You

• Should have 6 to 10 years experience with Secrets Management, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of credential vaulting, privileged account lifecycle management, password rotation, and secure connection proxying concepts.
• Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, including Jira, for incident tracking, change management, and workflow coordination.

• Proven ability to apply strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex identity and access management challenges.
• Understand the operational and security impact of platform changes, upgrades, and configuration modifications, ensuring minimal risk and disruption.
• Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently, demonstrate accountability, and maintain a strong sense of ownership for assigned responsibilities and outcomes.
