Job summary

VertexPlus is hiring a Packet Core Engineer to monitor and operate LTE EPC and 5G Core networks. Location details include Noida and Chennai, with duties spanning fault isolation, incident management, and coordination across multiple teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of packet core components, routing, signaling protocols, and OSS/NMS usage. Candidates should be able to handle 24x7 shifts and maintain high SLA delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, CS or related field.
• Certifications from Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, CCNA or 5G preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Packet Core network elements and services via OSS/NMS tools.
• Perform real-time surveillance of LTE EPC and 5G Core alarms.
• Execute fault isolation, impact assessment, and troubleshooting.
• Acknowledge, analyze, and escalate critical alarms per procedures.
• Open and manage trouble tickets with internal teams and vendors.
• Perform health checks and routine operational activities.
• Follow incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Prepare shift handover reports and operational summaries.
• Coordinate with L2, Engineering, Transmission, IP, RAN and Vendors.
• Ensure SLA compliance and timely ticket resolution.
• Support planned maintenance during maintenance windows.
• Maintain SOPs and operational documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities
