Job summary

Damyaa Pj Foods seeks a Packaging Development Engineer to design and implement new packaging formats and materials for its range of food products. You will coordinate trials with Production and QA teams and evaluate pouches, films, laminates, cartons, labels and containers, guiding trials through to commercial-scale implementation.

The role requires checking packaging specifications, artwork and material requirements, working with suppliers, and contributing to cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience in Food/FMCG packaging development preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new packaging formats and materials for food products.
• Coordinate packaging trials and testing with Production and QA teams.
• Evaluate packaging materials such as pouches, films, laminates, cartons, labels and containers.
• Coordinate with packaging material suppliers and vendors.
• Conduct packaging trials and support commercial-scale implementation.
• Check packaging specifications, dimensions, artwork and material requirements.
• Support cost optimization and alternate packaging material development.
• Prepare packaging specifications, trial reports and development documents.
• Coordinate with Purchase, QA, Production, Marketing and Design teams.
• Ensure packaging compliance with applicable food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Identify packaging defects and support corrective actions.
