Cyient Limited is seeking a skilled engineer with a background in material handling design and warehouse optimization. The role focuses on PFEP, material flow, and static simulations to improve inventory performance at the point of use.

You will work with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Management to implement replenishment strategies, support packaging concept development, and contribute to smart material flow initiatives across the warehouse network.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or industrial engineering with around 5 years of experience in material handling design PFEP, material flow design, and static simulation.
• Experience in logistics process design and equipment, kitting and sequencing knowledge, material presentation, dock analysis, storage analysis, workplace integration, station layouts, and workstation layouts in 2D/3D.

Responsabilidades

• Executes material flow projects covering warehouse planning, material replenishment, inventory management, material presentation, and related planning/design activities.
• Creates packaging design concepts such as racks, shipping stands, crates, etc., based on project requirements with an understanding of manufacturing processes while working with steel materials.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Management to define optimal line-side quantities and lead the implementation of replenishment strategies to improve material availability at the point of use.
• Identifies and analyzes improvement ideas related to productivity, efficiency, time and quality and participates in smart material flow solution initiatives.
• Works on warehouse operations as well as warehouse planning and design activities.
• Involves inventory management, replenishment strategies, container planning and design.
• Good knowledge of Creo software is required.

Position Specific duties:

• Create packaging design concepts such as racks, shipping stands, crate, etc. based upon the project requirement.Good understanding of manufacturing processes while working with steel material.
• Works in alignment with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Management to define optimal line side quantity and lead implementation of preferred material replenishment strategies to support continuous improvement in material availability at point of use.
