Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Package Consultant for SAP HANA SCM GTS based in Bengaluru. You will guide stakeholders through design and functional implementation of SAP Global Trade Services to enable compliant cross-border trade operations, leading delivery and ensuring robust integration with S/4HANA and other systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Experience translating trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs.
• Experience configuring GTS objects for cross-border trade operations.
• Experience with integrating GTS with S/4HANA and other systems.
• Experience driving test strategy (unit, SIT, UAT) to ensure solution quality.
• Experience managing data migration for business partner and ship-to data.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Package Consultant for SAP HANA SCM GTS, you will guide business stakeholders through the design and functional implementation of SAP Global Trade Services to enable compliant and efficient cross-border trade operations. This role involves leading the delivery of solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and applying expertise in trade compliance and customs requirements.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Process Design Development: Translating trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs covering sanctioned-party screening, embargo/legal control, and license determination.
• Solution Implementation: Configuring GTS objects, defining end-to-end process flows, and ensuring robust integration with S/4HANA and other systems.
• Test Strategy Development: Driving test strategy, including unit, SIT, and UAT testing, to ensure solution quality and effectiveness.
• Data Migration Management: Managing data migration, including business partner and ship-to data, classifications, licenses, and preferences, to support solution implementation.
• User Enablement Support: Ensuring user enablement, embedding controls for auditability, and driving measurable risk reduction through solution delivery.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Trade Compliance Knowledge: Experience with translating trade compliance and customs requirements into scalable process designs, including sanctioned-party screening, embargo/legal control, and license determination.
• Solution Configuration: Experience in configuring GTS objects, such as legal regulations, control classes, and business partners, to support cross-border trade operations.
• Integration Expertise: Experience with ensuring robust integration with S/4HANA SD/MM, EWM/TM, and external customs brokers/content providers.
• Test Strategy Development: Experience in driving test strategy, including unit, SIT, and UAT testing, to ensure solution quality and effectiveness.
• Data Migration Management: Experience with managing data migration, including business partner and ship-to data, classifications, licenses, and preferences, to support solution implementation.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Technical Integration Skills: Experience with integrating GTS with other SAP systems, such as S/4HANA, EWM, and TM, to support cross-border trade operations.
• Data Management Tools: Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques to support business partner and ship-to data, classifications, licenses, and preferences.
• Audit Controls Knowledge: Understanding of controls for auditability, including recordkeeping, electronic archives, and dual-use controls, to drive measurable risk reduction.
