Job summary

Promptitude Accounting Services is seeking a senior P2P Transformation Lead to redesign and optimize the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process. You will collaborate with Global Process Owner, Head of P2P, and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and accuracy using ERP tools and automation.

You will manage project plans, milestones, and readiness activities, delivering scalable processes and clear performance metrics across regions and functions.

Job description

Key responsibilities
  • In close collaboration with the P2P GPO (Global Process Owner) and Head of P2P, GBS drive full end to end process redesign of P2P Process. This includes accountability to optimise the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness throughout the procurement and payment cycles working end to end with Procurement and other parts of Hempel.
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational expertise to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and design scalable, efficient processes leveraging ERP systems, process automation and other digital tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
  • Drive preparation for process reimplementation, ensuring that implementation plan is detailed and structured to ensure a smooth transition from current to future state.
  • Provide regular updates to Project Management Office on project progress and key performance indicators.
  • Challenge existing setup and ways of working, deliver simplification and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across functions (e.g. Digital, Procurement, etc...) to ensure seamless integration and alignment across functions.
  • Support the organization in adopting and embedding the re-designed processes, including providing expert input during implementation phases.
  • The role requires deep knowledge of P2P process and hands on experience in operating and optimizing P2P process at multiple levels.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the teams (including those not directly reporting to this role), fostering a collaborative and high‑performing work environment.
  • Act as a key liaison between the finance function and other business units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Effectively manage stakeholder relationships and influence decisions at all organizational levels

Key tasks
  • Assess current‑state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design future‑state end‑to‑end P2P processes.
  • Lead and coordinate P2P transformation initiatives, including project planning, milestones, governance, and delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Drive readiness, implementation planning, testing, training, and adoption activities to ensure successful transition to redesigned processes.
  • Identify and implement automation, workflow, and system improvement opportunities leveraging D365 and other digital tools.
  • Partner with Procurement, Digital, Finance, GBS and business stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues and drive decisions.
  • Define, monitor and report process KPIs, track benefits realisation, and drive ongoing optimisation opportunities.
Work Relations :
  • Internal: Finance leadership, T&E / AP teams, P&C, Business stakeholders across regions
  • External:Vendors / system providers (e.g., Concur, as applicable)
  • Acts as the primary coordination and escalation point, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders, supporting decision-making, and driving consistent execution of Travel & Expense processes
Required education, experience and job-related skills :
  • The successful candidate would combine a high‑level strategic perspective with in‑depth operational knowledge of the end to end P2P process.
  • Deep hands on experience at executing activities of the PtP process at multiple level and knowledge of practical details of best in class process and associated tools is a must.
  • Expert in process transformation, offering insights and recommendations grounded in extensive experience.
  • Knowledge of how to approach full end to end process redesign.
  • Practical knowledge of best practices, trends, and innovations in finance process optimization and automation, with experience in applying them to drive continuous improvements.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in P2P, with expertise in automation and optimisation.
  • Expertise in finance process re‑design, optimization, and implementation, with a proven track record of executing processes and leading process transformations.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems, particularly D365; experience with SAP, and AX2009 is a strong advantage.
  • Strong operational and strategic skills, combining high level understanding of the end to end process with day‑to‑day execution.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and make complex matters understandable.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.

Strong project management skills, including ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
