Job summary

Emerson is seeking an IT support engineer to install and configure client systems, respond to service requests, and manage datacenter hardware in India. The role requires hands-on experience with Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Windows Server deployments.

You will work with in-house engineers, vendors, and subcontractors, providing on-site or remote support, training, and detailed job reporting to ensure service quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Liaising with Vendors for call logging.

Job description

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Installing and configuring client computer systems.

• Basic Knowledge of the deployment of Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and vCenter.

• Good knowledge of Switches, routers, and Networking will be an advantage.

• Deployment of Windows Server on VMware on a regular basis.

• New Server-grade hardware installation in the datacenter.

• Daily monitoring of Datacenter hardware.

• Remote assistance to in-house engineers to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.

• Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.

• Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client.

• Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.

• Providing training to the in-house engineers.

• Call logging with Vendors.

• Inventory management.

• Maintaining good client relations.
