Role Description

The OTT Faculty role is to plan, deliver, and evaluate classroom and clinical instruction for nursing students, ensuring alignment with academic standards and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures, supervising clinical practice, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback and mentoring. The role also involves developing and updating curricula, participating in academic meetings, maintaining accurate academic records, and contributing to research or professional development initiatives. Collaboration with colleagues and healthcare partners to enhance teaching quality and student learning experiences is an integral part of this position.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in nursing theory and clinical practice, with the ability to teach core subjects such as medical‑surgical nursing, community health, and foundational nursing skills.


• Demonstrated skills in classroom teaching, lesson planning, student assessment, and use of modern teaching‑learning methodologies.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities to support diverse learners and foster a respectful, inclusive learning environment.


• Proficiency in basic computer applications and digital tools for academic delivery, record‑keeping, and online learning platforms.


• Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., B.Sc. Nursing or higher); registration with the relevant nursing council and prior teaching or clinical experience preferred.


• Commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards in healthcare education.
