Job summary

MPC Cloud Consulting Pvt Ltd. in Gurgaon seeks a seasoned Oracle Fusion Financials Architect to lead presales and serve as the design authority for Finance transformation programs.

Responsibilities

Job description

Location: Gurgaon (Hybrid), with frequent travel to client locations in India and overseas

Experience: 15+ years of relevant Oracle Financials experience, including at least 4–5 end-to-end Oracle implementations (with Oracle Fusion Cloud as the main focus)

Role Overview

This role combines presales leadership with solution architecture. As the go-to expert for Oracle Fusion Financials, you will work with sales leadership to identify, shape, and win Finance transformation opportunities through strong solutioning, compelling demos, and persuasive proposals. Once deals are won, you will carry the solution into delivery as design authority, making sure what was sold is what gets built. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable presenting to a CFO panel and reviewing a detailed chart of accounts or subledger accounting design.

Key Responsibilities

Presales and Business Development (Primary Focus)

• Partner with sales and account teams to qualify opportunities, understand finance pain points, and shape winning solution strategies
• Lead discovery sessions and solution workshops with CFOs, financial controllers, shared-services heads, and IT leadership
• Design and deliver scenario-based Oracle Fusion Financials demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution walkthroughs, covering processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and the financial close
• Own the solution sections of RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and statements of work, including scope, assumptions, approach, and timelines
• Prepare effort estimates, resource plans, and commercial inputs together with delivery and finance teams
• Build business cases and value propositions, including faster close, cost reduction, compliance, automation, and finance transformation roadmaps
• Lead client orals, executive presentations, and solution defense sessions
• Build and maintain presales assets: demo environments, demo scripts, industry solution offerings, accelerators, case studies, and collateral
• Represent MPC Cloud Consulting at Oracle partner events, industry forums, webinars, and client briefings
• Work with Oracle alliance teams on joint go-to-market and pursuit activities

Solution Architecture and Design Authority

• Define the end-to-end solution architecture for Oracle Fusion Financials programs, including integration with Procurement, SCM, Projects (PPM), HCM, and EPM
• Design the core financial enterprise structure: ledgers, legal entities, business units, chart of accounts, accounting calendars, and multi-currency/multi-GAAP reporting (primary, secondary, and reporting currency ledgers)
• Architect solutions across Oracle Fusion modules: General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Expenses, Tax, Subledger Accounting, Intercompany, Budgetary Control, Revenue Management, Lease Accounting, Collections, and Project Financials
• Design key processes such as period-end close, consolidation, intercompany reconciliation, revenue recognition (IFRS 15/ASC 606), lease accounting (IFRS 16/ASC 842), and automated bank reconciliation
• Lead tax and localization design, including GST/VAT, withholding tax, and e-invoicing compliance (for example India, UAE, and KSA/ZATCA requirements)
• Define integration and reporting architecture with banks, EPM (Planning, FCCS, ARCS), legacy and third-party systems using OIC and REST/SOAP APIs, and financial reporting with FRS/Smart View/OTBI/BIP
• Act as design authority during delivery by reviewing solution designs, specifications, and configurations, and keeping solutions aligned with Oracle best practice, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Guide data migration strategy, reconciliation approach, testing, cut-over, and go-live readiness
• Support smooth handover from presales to delivery, and help with escalations, change requests, and account growth opportunities

Leadership and Practice Building

• Mentor solution leads and consultants, and build presales capability within the Finance practice
• Contribute to practice strategy, industry offerings, and thought leadership in finance transformation

Required Skills and Experience

• 15+ years of relevant Oracle Financials experience, with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud
• At least 4–5 full-cycle (end-to-end) Oracle implementations as Solution Architect, Finance Lead, or Design Authority
• Extensive, proven presales experience, including client demos, proposals, RFP responses, estimation, and orals, with a track record of contributing to deal wins
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial close, consolidation, and statutory and management reporting
• Hands-on knowledge of Subledger Accounting, multi-entity/multi-currency setups, intercompany, and tax configuration
• Experience designing integrations with banks, EPM, and third-party enterprise systems
• Excellent executive presence, storytelling, and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to manage several pursuits at once under tight deadlines

Good to Have

• Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud certifications
• Background in Oracle EBS R12 Financials and EBS-to-Fusion transformation experience
• Exposure to Oracle EPM Cloud (Planning, FCCS, ARCS, Narrative Reporting) and Oracle Integration Cloud
• Experience with GCC VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, India GST, and other country localizations
• Industry experience in aviation, real estate, manufacturing, retail, financial services, or public sector
• Experience on Middle East, APAC, US, or Europe client pursuits and programs
