Job Title: Oracle EBS Technical Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly seasoned, client-facing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Consultant with 7+ years of robust experience in implementing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle EBS R12 environments. The ideal candidate possesses deep architectural knowledge of Oracle EBS custom developments, advanced reporting, database programming, and complex integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Delivery: Design, develop, test, and deploy complex custom Oracle EBS solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Reporting & Outputs: Architect and develop advanced XML Publisher (BI Publisher) reports, RDF reports, and XML-based data extractions.
• Database Programming: Write highly optimized PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and custom views.
• Concurrent Programs & Automation: Develop and configure standard and host concurrent programs, combined with robust UNIX/Linux shell scripts for automation and file processing.
• User Experience Enhancements: Implement Forms Personalizations, modifications where applicable.
• Data Migration & Integration: Design and execute scalable data migration strategies using Open Interfaces, APIs, Concurrent programs, and custom staging tables. Build seamless inbound/outbound system integrations with third-party applications.
• Domain Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM) and Localization tables/relationships (GST, VAT, Withholding Tax structures, etc.) to build accurate reports and extensions.
• Support & Incident Management: Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for critical production issues, manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and act as the primary technical point of contact for clients.

Required Technical Skills

• Core ERP: Oracle EBS R12 (12.1.3 / 12.2.x).
• Database & Scripting: Advanced PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting, Oracle Workflow.
• Reporting Tools: XML Publisher / BI Publisher, Oracle Reports.
• Customization & Extensions: Oracle Forms Personalization,
• Integration & Migration: Oracle Open Interfaces, APIs,
• Functional Knowledge: Strong grasp of Oracle Financial Modules and India-specific Localization data models.
• Client Handling & Support Competencies (Added Value)
• Stakeholder Management: Proven experience in conducting requirement-gathering workshops, technical walkthroughs, and status updates with business users and IT leadership.
• SLA & Incident Ownership: Skillful in managing P1/P2 production support tickets, bug fixing, and communicating mitigation steps clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Documentation: Creation of rigorous technical design documents (MD070 / TE020), deployment guides, and knowledge-transfer artifacts for client teams.
• Additional Recommended Skills (Often Missed)
• Performance Tuning: Expertise in tracing sessions (TKPROF), identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing slow-running SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, and concurrent programs.
• Security & Auditing: Knowledge of Oracle EBS security architecture, function/menu security, custom responsibilities, and data masking protocols for support environments.
• Apex based web services for system integration, Apex based user interfaces.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 7+ years of hands‑on technical experience specifically within Oracle E-Business Suite implementations and support lifecycle projects.
