Job summary

L7Commerce in Kochi and Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Oracle EBS SCM Techno-Functional Consultant to join the global support team. You will own end-to-end incident resolution, triage, and defect analysis across SCM modules in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x.

The role demands deep functional knowledge with strong technical troubleshooting in complex environments involving WMS, 3PLs, and external platforms. 10+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Supply Chain processes (Order Management, Procurement, Fulfillment, Inventory, Planning).
• Understanding SCM setups, transaction flows, and approval workflows in Oracle EBS.
• Experience in cross-functional SCM-Finance-Retail support and handling upstream/downstream impacts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for Oracle SCM modules (Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping, Planning).
• Troubleshoot functional issues like incomplete orders, failed shipments, PO errors, planning exceptions.
• Analyze deviations and data inconsistencies in O2C and P2P flows.
• Collaborate with users, planners, and fulfillment teams to ensure process continuity.
• Lead issue triage bridges, identify workarounds, and validate fixes.
• Support period-close and quarter-close, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Investigate technical issues in custom objects, interfaces, and concurrent programs.
• Analyze PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, BI Publisher outputs, and workflows to identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot SOA/OSB integrations with HighJump WMS, 3PLs, B2B, and eCommerce systems.
• Coordinate with DBAs for performance tuning and DB-level investigations.
• Apply scripts for data correction under change control.
• Document root causes and build knowledge base articles.
• Lead major incident troubleshooting in real-time and communicate risk.
• Identify and resolve application-level technical risks.
• Learn client environment quickly and add value within 3–4 weeks.
• Lead P1, P2 bridge calls from techno-functional perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Oracle SCM modules including Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping, and Planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues such as incomplete orders, failed shipments, PO errors, and planning exceptions.
• Analyze business process deviations and data inconsistencies impacting Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) flows.
• Collaborate closely with business users, planners, and fulfillment teams to provide proactive support and process continuity.
• Participate in issue triage bridges, identify workarounds, and validate business-impacting fixes.
• Support period-close and quarter-close operations, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in custom objects, interfaces, workflows, and concurrent program requests.
• Perform code analysis of PL/SQL packages, Oracle Forms/Reports, BI Publisher outputs, and workflows to identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot SOA/OSB middleware-based integrations with external platforms such as HighJump WMS, 3PLs, B2B, and eCommerce systems.
• Work with DBAs and infrastructure teams for performance tuning, concurrent request delays, and database-level investigations.
• Apply approved scripts for data correction in compliance with change control policies.
• Document root causes and develop knowledge base articles for repeat issue prevention.
• Independently lead troubleshooting of major incidents actively and quickly in real-time scenarios and take decisions based on business criticality and technical assessment.
• Identify application level technical risks and dependencies; work towards resolving them.
• Quickly learn and adapt to client environment, processes and tools, and start adding value in 3-4 weeks.
• Lead P1, P2 bridge calls from the techno-functional resolution perspective.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong domain knowledge in Supply Chain business processes—Order Management, Procurement, Fulfillment, Inventory, Planning etc..
• Familiarity with SCM setups, transaction flows, and approval workflows within Oracle EBS.
• Experience with cross-functional support (SCM-Finance-Retail) and managing upstream/downstream process impacts.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Forms, BI Publisher, and Workflow Builder.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for customizations, interfaces, and concurrent program failures.
• Experience with integration troubleshooting via SOA Suite, OSB, and file/API-based interfaces (XML, JSON, UCM).
• Understanding of Oracle application architecture, concurrent manager performance, and logging/debugging tools.

Tools & Compliance

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM tools) for ticket lifecycle, incident, and change management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Control.
• Comfortable working in SOX-compliant environments with strict access control and audit requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for global stakeholder interaction.
