Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Oracle EBS R12 functional consultant with deep experience in Projects modules to ensure accurate project accounting, costing, and billing operations. You will translate business requirements into effective Oracle EBS solutions and support cross‑module integration.

You will collaborate with global finance teams and IT consultants, participate in design, SIT/UAT, and deployments, and help drive project efficiency and compliance across geographies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Oracle EBS R12 functional experience focusing on Projects modules.
• Strong knowledge of Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, and Management.
• Experience gathering requirements, gap analysis, and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, and Project Management.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and design functional solutions.
• Ensure seamless cross‑module integration with GL, AP, AR, SCM, and HRMS.
• Prepare design documents, conduct SIT/UAT, and support deployments.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide root-cause analysis, and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and IT consultants globally.

Role Overview

The consultant will provide functional expertise in Oracle EBS R12 Projects modules, ensuring smooth project accounting, costing, and billing operations. The role requires strong knowledge of project lifecycle processes, cross‑module integration, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective Oracle EBS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Projects Module Expertise → Configure and support modules including Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts, and Project Management.
• Requirement Analysis → Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design functional solutions.
• Cross‑Module Integration → Ensure seamless integration with Finance (GL, AP, AR), SCM, and HRMS modules.
• Testing & Documentation → Prepare functional design documents, conduct SIT/UAT, and support deployments.
• Issue Resolution → Troubleshoot functional issues, provide root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration → Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and IT consultants across geographies.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of Oracle EBS R12 functional experience, with strong focus on Projects modules. Deep functional knowledge of Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, and Management. Strong understanding of project accounting processes and cross‑module dependencies. Experience in requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution design. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
