Job summary

Cerebra in Pune, India, seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to manage large Exadata environments, upgrade and patch, and optimize performance.

You will install, configure, monitor, and support RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, ASM, OEM/Grid Control; provide 24x7 on-call production support and mentor L1/L2 teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience administrating large Oracle database estates.
• Hands-on expertise with Exadata architecture and patching.
• Strong skills in shell, SQL and PL/SQL scripting.

Responsibilities

• Manage large database estates including TB-scale databases.
• Install, configure, administer and troubleshoot Oracle DB versions.
• Design and administer RAC, Data Guard and GoldenGate environments.
• Administer ASM, disk groups and failure groups.
• Perform upgrades, migrations and patching.
• Backup, recover, refresh and reorganization using RMAN.
• Monitor with OEM/Grid Control and perform performance tuning using AWR/ADDM/ASH.
• Develop and troubleshoot Shell, SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Provide 24x7 on-call production support.
• Mentor L1/L2 DBAs and maintain SOPs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage large database estates, including TB-size databases.
• Install, configure, administer and troubleshoot multiple Oracle database versions.
• Design and administer Oracle RAC, Data Guard and GoldenGate environments.
• Install and manage ASM, including disk groups and failure groups.
• Manage and administer Oracle databases on Exadata.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations and patching activities.
• Perform database backup, recovery, refresh and reorganization using RMAN and third-party tools.
• Configure and administer OEM/Grid Control for database monitoring.
• Perform database performance analysis and tuning using AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL Profiles and advisory views.
• Develop and troubleshoot Shell, SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Provide production and non-production database support.
• Handle critical incidents, vendor coordination, SLA tracking and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 DBA teams.
• Support 24x7/on-call production environments.

Exadata Expertise Must Have

• Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with:

• QFSP/QFSDP patching and troubleshooting
• Exadata build and implementation support
• IORM and DBRM resource management
