Job summary

Oracle Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage mission-critical databases with a focus on high availability and performance. You will oversee RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backups, patching, upgrades, and migrations across enterprise systems.

You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, drive automation, and support Exadata environments while adhering to operational best practices and weekend shift requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard and high availability concepts.
• Expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades and migrations.
• Experience managing production Oracle databases in enterprise or customer-facing settings.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, incident management and operational best practices.
• Ability to work independently across IC2 to IC4-level responsibilities based on depth.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and provide weekend support as required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments with high availability and security.
• Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Support HA and DR configurations, including monitoring and validation.
• Execute patching, upgrades, migrations with minimal business disruption.
• Collaborate with application, infra, cloud, and support teams on incidents and improvements.
• Provide support for Oracle engineered systems such as Exadata, including basic admin and monitoring.
• Contribute to automation and DevOps initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and support teams to resolve incidents and deliver operational improvements.
• Provide support for Oracle engineered systems such as Exadata, including basic administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to automation and DevOps initiatives to improve operational efficiency, repeatability, and service quality.
