Job summary

Paychex India is seeking a skilled Oracle CPQ developer to design, build, test, and deploy CPQ solutions. You will work on CPQ configurations, BML scripting, and integration challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and alignment with requirements.

The role requires strong problem-solving, good communication, and experience with Agile practices like JIRA. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and web technologies is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Oracle CPQ.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle CPQ architecture, configuration, and customization.
• Proficient in programming languages such as BML, Java, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Overview

Designs, develops and troubleshoots software programs for computer based systems.

Responsibilities

• Creates design documentation and code independently for intermediate modules. Follows documentation, architectural, and coding standards. Identifies code, process, and/or standard inefficiencies and provides suggestions for improvement.
• Creates and executes automated unit tests, manual unit tests, and manual integration tests. Tracks and resolves intermediate defects.
• Reviews and evaluates detailed business, functional and high level technical requirements. Acquires and utilizes business knowledge to support applications.
• Designs detailed technical components with high-level architecture, recognizes and understands use of design patterns for basic applications. Applies reusability and future state architectures. Participates in design and code reviews.
• Provides and confirms detailed tasks and estimates for assigned work items.
• Identifies support issues, assists in troubleshooting activities, and provides technical assistance of basic problems by determining the nature, impact, extent, and appropriate resolution of application issues identified in various environments.
• Merges code, builds and deploys application packages in the appropriate lower environments to facilitate testing by other departments. Effectively communicates and coordinates efforts with the release coordinator, developers, and various other personnel on the build and deployment process.

Qualifications

• Key Competencies Required:

  • Experience delivering multiple Oracle CPQ / BigMachines implementation projects.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle CPQ Development, including BML scripting and debugging.
  • Experience with Oracle CPQ architecture and solution design.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, CRM architecture and ERP architecture is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with CPQ integrations, web services and XSLT.
  • Understanding of Configuration, Commerce, Pricing, Approvals, Subscriptions (ABO) and Document Designer capabilities.
  • Experience working with CPQ workflows and process automation.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and CSS is highly desirable.
  • Experience with migrations and deployment activities.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively and apply sound judgement in task execution.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with JIRA.
  • Experience with AI-Development tools to support agentic development to improve productivity.

  Required Qualifications:
