Job summary

Datamatics Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer (OCI) with 3–6 years of hands-on experience to design, build, automate, and support enterprise OCI-based infrastructure, including compute, storage, network, and security.

The role emphasizes Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, and platform operations, with exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP as secondary clouds; you will implement IaC modules, automate tasks with Python/Bash/Ansible, and help migrate workloads

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on cloud/platform engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of OCI experience or strong cloud experience with OCI exposure.
• Experience supporting production environments, incident management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage OCI resources (Compute, Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, DBCS, Autonomous DB).
• Configure OCI networking components (VCN, subnets, NSGs, route tables, gateways, VPNs, FastConnect, DNS).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Terraform/OCI Resource Manager).
• Automate operations using Python, Bash, Ansible, and cloud-native tools.
• Support CI/CD deployments using OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Monitor OCI environments with OCI Monitoring, Logging, APM, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog or Dynatrace.
• Perform routine operations: patching, backups, certificates, capacity checks, incident resolution.
• Implement cloud security controls: IAM, MFA, Vault/KMS, encryption, Bastion, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vulnerability Scanning.
• Support cloud migration and modernization to OCI.
• Assist apps deploying on OCI workloads (OKE, WebLogic, Oracle DB, Functions, API Gateway).
• Contribute to cost optimization, automation, and operational docs.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer (OCI) with 3 – 6 years of experience to build, manage, automate, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure environments. The role focuses primarily on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and involves provisioning, operations, automation, security, monitoring, and migration activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with OCI services, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, and platform operations, along with working knowledge of at least one secondary cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities
