Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Manager based in India.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping and managing enterprise cloud infrastructure services, with a primary focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and supporting expertise in AWS.
You will lead cloud operations for managed services clients, ensuring environments are secure, scalable, resilient, compliant, and cost-effective.
The position combines technical leadership with people management, service delivery, governance, financial oversight, and client engagement.
You will guide cloud engineering and operations teams while driving modernization, automation, observability, and operational excellence.
The role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders, security teams, vendors, and global delivery organizations.
You will also influence cloud strategy, improve service quality, manage risks, and identify opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced cloud leader who enjoys balancing technical depth, business priorities, and customer outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, and managed services priorities, with OCI as the primary cloud platform and AWS as a secondary technology.
  • Lead the design, implementation, governance, and operational management of enterprise OCI environments while providing oversight for AWS infrastructure requirements.
  • Establish and maintain cloud governance frameworks, architecture standards, operational processes, and best practices across managed services engagements.
  • Own end-to-end cloud infrastructure service delivery, ensuring agreed SLAs, KPIs, availability, performance, capacity, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and patching objectives are achieved.
  • Lead major incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, and remediation activities while ensuring business continuity and operational resilience.
  • Review and approve secure, scalable, highly available cloud architectures and ensure security-by-design principles are consistently applied.
  • Oversee IAM, network segmentation, encryption, vulnerability management, security controls, risk assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Partner closely with security and risk teams, including senior security leadership, to strengthen the security posture of hosted environments and address identified risks.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure budgets, forecasts, consumption, and financial planning while driving cost optimization through rightsizing, resource utilization, reservations, and other FinOps practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop cloud consultants, engineers, and administrators while establishing performance objectives, development plans, certification programs, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with Oracle, AWS, technology partners, and third-party providers, including vendor performance, contractual obligations, SLAs, escalations, and service commitments.
  • Build trusted relationships with client leadership and serve as a senior point of contact for infrastructure escalations, service reviews, operational governance, audits, and executive reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services, automate operations, expand cloud adoption, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Promote cloud-native technologies, infrastructure-as-code, automation, observability, reliability engineering, process standardization, and operational maturity.
  • Support cloud transformation, modernization, RFPs, service transitions, new project deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience, including at least 5 years managing cloud infrastructure teams and operations.
  • Strong hands-on and leadership experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with AWS experience as a secondary cloud platform.
  • Proven experience designing, administering, and operating enterprise cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, identity and access management, encryption, disaster recovery, business continuity, monitoring, observability, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Application Management Services (AMS) or managed services engagements and working within ITIL-based operating models.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud governance, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and operational risk management.
  • Experience working on SOC 2 audits and remediation, as well as familiarity with CMM, ISO-certified environments, hosting best practices, and security governance.
  • Strong understanding of security posture management and experience partnering closely with CISO or senior security functions to protect hosted environments.
  • Proven experience managing geographically distributed teams and building high-performing, customer-focused engineering organizations.
  • Strong vendor management and governance capabilities, including experience working with major cloud providers and technology partners.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, client relationship, negotiation, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation abilities, with confidence engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalations, and business-critical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience contributing to or leading RFP activities is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as OCI Professional, OCI Architect Professional, AWS Solutions Architect, ITIL, PMP, or PRINCE2 are preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Opportunity to lead enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and managed services initiatives.
  • Strong exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AWS technologies.
  • Leadership opportunities across cloud operations, architecture, governance, security, and service delivery.
  • Professional training, certification, and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Exposure to cloud modernization, automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborative environment with global teams, senior stakeholders, clients, technology partners, and vendors.
