Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Oracle Apps Technical Consultant (EBS Development) to work pan-India. The role involves hands-on development and support across Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher and related tools, with a focus on Onsite-Offshore collaboration.

The candidate will gather client requirements, work on RICE components, and assist in deployments. Strong debugging and client-facing communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Development and Support projects with Onsite-Offshore model.
• Expertise in Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, and Shell Script.
• Knowledge of Oracle Applications modules as described in the skill set.
• Ability to debug issues independently with adequate technical acumen.
• Experience in client interactions, requirements gathering and coding to spec.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to gather requirements and translate them into code.
• Work across Oracle ERP areas, especially Oracle Forms.
• Contribute to enhancements, deployments and support of RICE components.
• Document developed code and ensure traceability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and knowledge sharing.

Required Functional Skill Set

• Moderate to Good knowledge of functional domains such as: Order Management, Shipping, Inventory

Required Technical Skill Set

• In depth knowledge of technical domains such as: PLSQL, Oracle Interfaces, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Workflow, OAF, Shell Script

Desired Experience Range

4-8 years

Location of Requirement

Kolkata (Preferred), PAN India

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

Technical:

• Hands-on experience in Development, Support project with Onsite-Offshore model
• Expertise in Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Shell Script.
• Knowledge on Oracle Applications modules as stated above in Skill set.
• Adequate Technical ability to Debug issues on own.
• Experience in working with Clients, gathering requirements, and developing codes based on the requirement.
• Expertise in supporting Testing, Defects Analysis and Fixing in sync with product development and support.

Non-Technical:

• Strong troubleshooting and conceptual skills.
• Excellent Analytical and Debugging skills on problem Solving Is must.
• Should have excellent communication skills and customer facing skills.

Good-to-Have

• Experience in Workflow, OAF development, deployment & Implementation

• Working interactively with clients, gathering requirements, and delivering based on the requirement.
• Working in various areas in Oracle ERP, especially Oracle Forms.
• Working on enhancements, deployments, and support of RICE components
• Documentation related to the developed codes.

• Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.
