Job summary

Lenskart.com is seeking an on-site Optometrist for our North East India operations. You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for employees at the Vadodara site in a contract on-site role, prescribe lenses, and refer to specialists as needed.

You will also maintain meticulous records, support eye health education, and assist with ergonomics for screen-based and industrial work environments in coordination with safety teams. Fresher applicants are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Professional optometry skills including comprehensive eye examinations and refractive assessments.
• Valid registration/licensing with the appropriate council or regulatory body.
• Ability to prescribe and manage corrective lenses and contact lenses.
• Familiarity with ocular pathology screening and referral practices.
• Experience in occupational health or corporate wellness is a plus.
• Excellent patient communication and education on eye health.

Role Description

The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for employees and visitors at the Vadodara site in an on-site, contract role. Responsibilities include conducting routine and specialized visual tests, prescribing corrective lenses, identifying ocular health issues, and referring individuals to ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary. The Optometrist will maintain accurate clinical records, ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines, and support workplace wellness initiatives related to eye care. The role also involves educating individuals on eye health, proper use of visual aids, and ergonomics for screen and industrial work environments, in coordination with the company's occupational health and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Professional optometry skills, including comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, and diagnosis of common vision disorders.

• Knowledge of ocular pathology, screening for conditions such as glaucoma, cataract, and retinal disorders, and appropriate referral practices.


• Strong patient communication and counseling skills, with a focus on education around eye health, ergonomics, and preventive care.


• Experience working in occupational health, industrial, or corporate wellness settings is an advantage.


• Degree/Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution; valid registration or license with the appropriate professional council or regulatory body.


• Ability to work on-site in North East, India, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain meticulous clinical documentation.


• Familiarity with basic diagnostic equipment (e.g., autorefractor, slit lamp, tonometer) and digital record-keeping systems.
