Job summary

Nomura is seeking a seasoned Finance & Analytics professional to lead planning, reporting and cost-management initiatives across global teams in Mumbai. The role emphasizes BCM, MI, and governance of shared services with strong Excel and Power BI usage.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to design dashboards, drive process excellence, and deliver cost-saving insights while maintaining robust documentation and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, track actuals vs budget, forecast and analyze variances.

• Create dashboards for transparency of financials and projects.
• Provide advisory analytics to senior management to reduce cost base.
• Document SOPs and build a service catalogue with SLAs.
• Plan governance and manage stakeholder communications throughout the journey.

Job description

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Budget preparation, tracking actuals / budget, forecasting, variance analysis and expense analysis.
• Headcount Reporting & control
• Finance MI & Analytics - Work with large amounts of data to identify meaningful analysis / trends driving cost saves initiatives. Operating model changes, transformation / automation opportunities.
• Senior Stakeholder Management: Dashboard creation to provide transparency of financials, workforce management and key projects
• Provide Sr. Mgmt. multiple advisory / analytics to help drive initiatives to manage their cost base
• Insights of key cost drivers and provide cost models to deliver / track cost saves targets
• Process Transition / Process Excellence: Process mapping and a passion to drive towards globally consistent processes
• Documentation of SOPs for processes, where they don t exist
• Build and maintain a Business Management Service Catalogue, with appropriate SLAs/OLAs, etc.
• Plan and implement process transition from global/regions to Shared Service team
• Oversee the run phase of processes transitioned
• Define governance and engagement model to prioritize, monitor and improve services and processes
• Manage stakeholders and establish active communication plan throughout journey
• Project management experience in driving strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders.
• Proven record of planning, executing, monitoring and controlling large projects.
• BCM
• Knowledge of BCM framework and conversant with preparing BIA, BRP documents and testing the BCP plans
• Excellent communication skills to cascade key information to all stakeholders such as BCM, Line business, Senior Management etc.
• Identification of BCP scenarios and response plans in a hybrid working model
