Job summary

Pressform Industries is seeking motivated, entry-level Operator Trainee to join the production floor in Chennai. You will receive structured on-the-job training to operate plant machinery and assist with assembly safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates are freshers with SSLC/10th or ITI (advantage), Tamil-fluent, male, and willing to relocate within 15 km of Ambattur Estate. The role involves shift readiness and basic record-keeping on daily production and material movement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate plant machinery and assist with assembly during training;
• Check finished parts against basic standards and report defects to supervisor.
• Be flexible across rotating shift schedules as assigned by production planning.
• Follow factory safety guidelines and wear PPE; keep a clean, organized workstation.
• Assist in logging daily production counts and material movements as instructed.

Role & responsibilities

1. Machine Operation & Assembly: Undergo hands-on training to operate plant machinery, loading/unloading materials and performing manual or semi-automated component assembly.
2. Quality & Inspection: Check finished parts or assemblies against basic visual and measurement standards; report defects or irregularities immediately to the shift supervisor.
3. Shift Readiness: Work flexibly across rotating shift schedules as assigned by production planning.
4. Workplace Safety & 5S: Adhere strictly to factory safety guidelines, wear prescribed PPE (safety shoes, uniforms), and maintain a clean, organized work station.
5. Record Keeping: Assist in logging daily production counts and material movement as instructed.

• Qualification: SSLC / 10th Standard Pass (ITI certification is an added advantage)
• Experience: Fresher (0 years)
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Tamil (reading/writing/speaking for floor communication)
• Gender: Male only
• Location/Relocation: Residing within a 15 km radius of Ambattur Estate, Chennai, OR willing to relocate immediately at own/shared arrangement.
