Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India in Dolvi seeks a Manager – Operations with 15+ years of steel industry experience to lead end-to-end plant operations, including metal recovery and slag handling. You will drive production planning, supervise frontline leaders, and ensure safety, quality, and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with maintenance, procurement, and site management, and monitoring KPIs and costs to meet targets across three shifts.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial / Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of experience.
• OR Diploma in relevant engineering with 20+ years of experience.
• Experience in Steel Manufacturing – Melt Shop / Blast Furnace environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations for Metal Recovery, Slag Evacuation, Slag Transportation and Scrap Processing within a steel plant.
• Plan and control daily production, manpower, equipment utilization and operational targets across 3 shifts.
• Lead Team Leads, Shift In-charges, Plant Operators and Heavy Equipment Operators.
• Ensure EHS, safety, quality, SOP and production standards are strictly followed.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Procurement, Customer and Site Management to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor production KPIs, data metrics, budgets and cost-control initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial / Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of experience.
• OR Diploma in relevant engineering with 20+ years of experience.
• Mandatory/Preferred: Experience in Steel Manufacturing – Melt Shop / Blast Furnace environment.
• Strong exposure to steel plant operations, slag handling/recovery, scrap processing and production management.
• Good knowledge of Excel, PPT, production reporting and data analytics.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and team management skills.
