Job summary

AirTrunk is seeking an Operations Governance Manager to drive data centre excellence, governance and assurance across APAC. You will work with cross-functional teams and leadership to shape risk management, continuity and regulatory compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in operations, engineering, risk, compliance, governance, quality or related discipline.
• Experience in operational governance, assurance, compliance, risk management, or operational excellence.
• Experience in critical infrastructure data centres or high-reliability environments.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and control principles.
• Ability to travel regularly across APAC operational sites.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage data centre operational excellence, governance and controls.
• Support development and implementation of consistent operational practices across regions and sites.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, procedures, controls and tools.
• Monitor recurring findings and trends to determine broader organisational improvements.
• Assist assurance activities for all operating sites (external, internal, client, certification, insurer).
• Manage DC sites’ assurance, measuring and monitoring adherence to operational process and procedures; provide feedback to sites on risks.
• Coordinate Severity 1 drills for DC sites and follow up on lessons learned.
• Lead or support improvement initiatives from assurance findings, incidents, drills, etc.
• Monitor site teams in Business Continuity, Emergency response and resiliency planning.
• Review and update documentation and governance frameworks with stakeholders.
• Support regulatory, statutory, certification obligations.
• Assess changes in regulatory requirements affecting Data Centre Operations.
• Track operational risk with site teams to mitigate risks.

As Operations Governance Manager, you will report to the Director of Operations Governance and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:

• You will work closely with key business teams to drive, structure, and deliver keydatacentreoperationalexcellence,governanceand complianceinitiatives across the APJ region.
• You will advise on and shapedata centreoperationalexcellenceandassurance throughoutAirTrunk, including the initiation and delivery of new build sites, ensuring compliance from a risk management perspective to enable the rapid expansion of AirTrunk data centre developments across APJ.
• You will be able to hone new skills andexpertisein related workstreams asrequired, including risk management, business continuity, and emergency response, developing an in-depth knowledge ofAirTrunk’soperationsand providing strategic operational initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managementof data centre operationalexcellence,governanceand controls.
• Support the development and implementation of consistentoperational practices across regions and sites.
• Identifyopportunities to improve operational processes, procedures,controlsand supporting tools.
• Monitor recurring findings and trends todeterminewhether broader organisational improvements arerequired.
• Assistand support assurance activities for all operating sitesincluding;external, internal, client,certificationand insurer assurance.
• Managementof DCsites’ assurance, measuring and monitoring adherence to operational process and procedures. Give feedback to sites on common shortcomings and risk consequence.
• Coordinate andundertakeSeverity 1 drills forDCsites,following up onidentifiedlessons learnt andimprovements.
• Lead or support improvement initiatives arising from assurance findings, incidents, drills, controlled self-assessments and lessons learned.
• Monitor and support site teams in the delivery of their Business Continuity, Emergencyresponseand any other required resiliency planning.
• Monitor nominated document owners and managers, intimelyreview and update of their business unit relevant documentation and keep the Governance owned frameworks and policies up to date for review in consultation with stakeholders.
• Support Operations teams inidentifyingand understanding relevant regulatory, statutory, certification and internal compliance obligations.
• Work with relevant subject matter experts to assess changes in regulatory or compliance requirements that mayimpactData Centre Operations.
• Assessment and tracking ofDC sites operational risk, working withsite teams toeffectivelymanage, controland/ormitigatethese risks.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in operations, engineering, risk, compliance, governance,qualityor a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in operational governance, assurance, compliance, riskmanagementor operational excellence.
• Experience working within a critical infrastructure, data centre, engineering, utilities, facilitiesmanagementor similarly high-reliability operational environment.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and control principles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex operational issues andidentifysystemic risks and improvement opportunities.
• Abilityto travelregularly across operational siteswithin the APAC region.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create and direct cross-functional group forums for managing risks.
