Job summary

Ingersoll Rand, based at Naroda, India, is seeking an Operations Finance Analyst to join our finance team. The role features a hybrid work arrangement and focuses on MIS, cost management and FP&A support across operations and commercial finance.

The successful candidate will bring CA/Cost Accountant or MBA/M.Com qualifications with ERP experience (Oracle/SAP), strong accounting skills and a proactive mindset to drive process improvements in a global industrial group.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA/Cost Accountant or MBA/M.Com with relevant experience.
• Hands-on ERP experience with Oracle or SAP.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Pharma, Automotive or Heavy Industry.
• Experience in operation finance and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MIS, variances and inventory analyses.
• Close monthly/quarterly books including accrual, warranty and inventory accounting.
• Perform physical inventory activities and load variance into Oracle.
• Manage standard costing processes.
• Advise on BOM costing, intercompany transfer prices and assessable prices.
• Conduct PPV analysis and monitor productivity/inflation in commodities.
• Scrutinize GL and control spend analyses.
• Ensure statutory compliance.
• Reconcile balance sheet GL accounts.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on productivity projects.
• Interact with government authorities and provide required data.
• Manage budgeting and forecast cycles for spend and inventory.
• Support quarterly audits with statutory auditors and Internal Auditors.

Ingersoll Rand India finance team consists of diverse profiles like Operation Finance Analyst, Costing and MIS, FP&A, Revenue accounting etc. across operations and commercial aspects of compressor business. With diverse profiles and upcoming new plant expansion project, there would be many new opportunities coming with finance team as well.

The Financial Analyst position would have growth opportunity to take on the additional responsibility in roles of FP&A for Operation Finance, Commercial Finance & Finance Controller as well.

Responsibilities

• Conducting MIS, Variances and Inventory Analysis,
• Closing monthly/ quarterly books like accrual, warranty & inventory accounting etc.
• Conducting Physical inventory activities and loading variance into Oracle.
• Manage standard costing process and activities.
• Advise on Costed BOM, Intercompany Transfer Prices and Assessable Prices.
• Perform PPV analysis and monitor productivity/inflation in commodities.
• Scrutinize GL and control spend analysis.
• Ensure statutory compliance.
• Reconcile balance sheet GL accounts.
• Co-ordination with business cross function teams on productivity projects.
• Interact with government authorities and providing required data.
• Manage budgeting and forecast cycle for spend, inventory and other variance.
• Quarterly audit of listed entity with statutory auditors for areas responsible and dealing with Internal Auditors.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates only with the following skills sets will be considered:

• Should be qualified Cost Accountant/ Chartered Accountant having 2-5-year experience or MBA/M.com having 10-12-year experience.
• Hands-on working experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, or Heavy Industry sectors.
• Experience in Operation finance and management reporting.

Desired Skills

• Competent with accounting & MIS work
• Experience on Hyperion Financial Management would be an advantage.
• Understanding accounting standards, standard costing methodology and cost audit process.
• Strong creative problem-solving mind-set.
• Clear grasp of verbal and written English.
• Proactive, self-motivating with ability to develop own priorities
• Conversant with Microsoft tools - Word; Excel; PPT
