Job summary

Bhpost is seeking a proactive First Mile Operations Specialist in the Gurugram region to coordinate daily pickup schedules with Fleet Managers and riders, ensuring on-time pickups and adherence to TATs.

You will monitor NPRs, validate documentation, support route planning, and drive improvements by investigating escalations with cross-functional teams, maintaining service levels and accurate MIS reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily pickup schedules with Fleet Managers and riders.
• Monitor urgent pickup requests and ensure timely execution.
• Drive closure of NPRs within committed timelines.
• Ensure shipment documentation and packaging compliance during pickups.
• Coordinate cargo readiness with sellers and operational hubs.
• Monitor shipment receiving and first-mile scanning activities.
• Support route planning and resource allocation to maximize pickup efficiency.
• Resolve pickup-related escalations within service levels.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational MIS reports.
• Maintain accurate master data and track performance metrics.

• First Mile Operations
• Ensure successful pickup completion within defined turnaround times (TATs).
• Coordinate daily pickup schedules with Fleet Managers and riders.
• Monitor urgent pickup requests and ensure timely execution.
• Drive closure of Not Picked Reports (NPRs) within committed timelines.
• Ensure shipment documentation and packaging compliance during pickups.
• Coordinate cargo readiness with sellers and operational hubs.
• Monitor shipment receiving and first-mile scanning activities.
• Support route planning and operational resource allocation to maximize pickup efficiency.
• First Mile Operations & Hub Coordination
• Coordinate daily first-mile operational readiness across assigned locations.
• Work closely with Fleet Managers to ensure adequate vehicle and rider availability.
• Monitor hub readiness for shipment receiving and dispatch.
• Resolve operational issues escalated by Fleet Managers and hub teams.
• Maintain operational inventory including bags, seals, dispatch materials, and other assets.
• Validate fleet attendance, trip records, and operational documentation.
• Support onboarding and operational readiness of first-mile partners.
• Coordinate with transport partners and riders to maintain service levels and SLA compliance.
• Escalation & Stakeholder Management
• Resolve pickup-related escalations within defined service levels.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Sales, Key Account Managers, and Operations teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Investigate operational exceptions and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure effective communication and follow-up on all critical operational issues.
• Reporting & Operational Governance
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS reports.
• Maintain accurate operational master data across systems.
• Track pickup performance, first-mile productivity, and operational compliance.
• Validate vendor invoices related to first-mile operations.
• Support operational audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.
